This investment, achieved through CEMEX open innovation and Corporate Venture capital unit, CEMEX Ventures, is part of our Digital Innovation in Motion ecosystem. Digital Innovation in Motion encompasses CEMEX’s innovation efforts in its commercial offering, back-office processes, and smart manufacturing.

Just like many direct-to-consumer apps, PartRunner connects building materials stores, suppliers, and storages with the best drivers and vehicles according to location and the service requested. This increases logistics capabilities, productivity, and can reduce delivery costs by up to 25%.

From motorcycles, cars, SUVs to 24ft box trucks for “big and bulky” items, PartRunner coordinates a fleet ready to operate deliveries within a couple of hours’ time, same day transportation or even schedule recurring orders with timely conveyance.

This efficient technological solution allows users to manage trips and track orders in real-time, receive notifications via SMS, request multi-stops for maximum efficiency, review orders details, and manage invoices and documentation directly in the platform.

With all these features, PartRunner is a key player to provide our clients a superior customer experience by enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the handling of products and materials.

With a ‘mileage’ of more than 10,000 deliveries since 2018, PartRunner is ready to expand in the American and Mexican markets. In December 2021, it started operations in Mexico City to serve our Promexma and Construrama Supply stores.
